PCS

The Probe Center Separation or PCS is the distance between the exit point of the transmitter probe and the exit point of the receiver probe.

  3. For example, if the probes are 70°s and the thickness of the part is 19 mm then the optimal PCS is 69.6 mm

The PCS affects the depth and height measurements as well as the overall quality of the scan. It is therefore very important that the physical PCS between the probes match the theoretical PCS entered in the instrument.
