Pulse Width
In this example, the pulse is the hammer and the piezoelectric element is the bell. Low frequency means big bell and large pulse means big hammer
- If we have a big bell (low frequency), we need a big hammer (long pulse) to ring it
- If we have a small bell (high frequency), we need a small hammer (short pulse) to ring it
In digital instruments, the width of the square pulse can be adjusted in function of the frequency of the probe
